Stay Safe

Responsible gambling

Gambling should always be entertainment, never a way to make money. If it stops being fun, help is available — free, confidential, and 24/7.

Tools that keep you in control

Deposit limits

Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on deposits. The single most effective tool for staying in control.

Cool-off periods

Take a short break, from 24 hours up to several weeks, during which you cannot log in or deposit.

Self-exclusion

A longer-term block on your account. In Ontario you can also register with the province-wide self-exclusion program.

Signs it might be time for a break

  • Gambling with money you cannot afford to lose
  • Chasing losses or betting more to feel the same excitement
  • Gambling to escape stress, or hiding it from people close to you
  • Feeling anxious, guilty, or out of control around gambling

If any of these feel familiar, setting a limit or taking a break is a sign of strength, not failure. Support is always available.
